Jul. 15th, 2005 03:46 pmA word I'm using quite a bit is "Cladistic". For those who don't know its a methodology for reconstructing relationships between groups of organisms (Clades).
Spell checkers don't like it. MS Word wants it to be Sadistic, and LJ wants Cultist.
In a similar vein Guy Browning "Small Talk" Radio 4 Wednesday believes teh way you eat your eggs says a lot about you. People who eat boiled eggs for instance are sadists-
"They drop the egg into boiling water, then they wrench it out, chop its head off or just smash its head in. Then they rub salt in the wound and if that wasn't enough, the headless corpse is then violated by a mob of soldiers".
Right now I need all the laughs I can get.
Must. Write. Dissertation. Must. Not. Get. Distracted...
