Pimping the Rhinogradentia
Apr. 1st, 2007 07:25 pmRhinogradentians (or "snouters" to give them their common name) were a diverse and fascinating clade of mammals, exclusive to a small archipelago in South-East Asia which sank into the sea in the late 1940s as a result of nearby atomic weapons testing. This catastrophe also killed the specialists working on them, who were attending a conference at the time. There are thus few published references, Stumpke's 1957 title (published in english in 1967 as "The Snouters, form and life of the Rhinogrades").
